telnet UDP port

Wondering how to telnet a UDP port? Use this -

[deba@prodWeb100 ~]$ nc -vvzu PrdSQL100.domain.com 1434

Connection to PrdSQL100.domain.com 1434 port [udp/ms-sql-m] succeeded!
